New Entierro...other news
We decided to break format and release the next song in our Entierro series – our version of “Till Your Well Runs Dry” by Peter Tosh. The tune is now available at Bandcamp for $1 along with the other five Entierro releases. Peter Tosh was shot and killed during a home invasion on September 11, 1987. Since September 11th doesn’t feel like a very good time to release a song, we thought we would go ahead and get this one out.
We have always felt like “Till Your Well Runs Dry” was a country reggae song and it has long been on the list of songs we wanted to do for Entierro. Peter Tosh was an essential member of the Wailers with his distinctive harmony vocals and guitar work. Although overshadowed by Bob Marley, Tosh also played a major role in the international popularity of reggae. Tosh was volatile and a bit of an oddball – he was accomplished unicycle rider and is famous for playing a guitar shaped like an M16.
We are still working on the mixing of the live record we recorded for WarHen Records back on April 2, 2016 at The Southern in Charlottesville, VA. We hope to have some news on that release very soon.
Although it might seem quiet, there are quite a few other things going on in the background for WNM - including a side project. Stay tuned for news on all of this.
Take care out there.
