Mules @ Work
Hello all. First, we are working hard at reclaiming this website from vicious SPAM bots that have overrun our system. Its a pain in the ass. We’re sorry for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused, particularly with orders from the merch shop. If you have any issue with an order, please email and we will see to it right away. We’re working hard on a number of things for 2014. We have time set aside time early in the year to record a new record. We’ll be going a slightly different direction than we have for past albums and are pretty fired up about it. We als have several shows that will confirm soon. Thanks to all who email us to make sure we still have a pulse. We do. Keep emailing. Temporarily, facebook might be the best place for up to the minute info until we can square this issue with the site. facebook.com/wrinkleneckmules. Also, believe it or not, we are now on twitter. Follow us @wnmules. Cheers all and happy new year. WNM

American Songwriter, CMT.com & Video
Here’s a number of things to keep you occupied on the Internet. First, you can download the first track off of Apprentice to Ghosts called “When the Wheels Touch Down”, right now, for free on American Songwriter Magazine’s February Edition of The Muse Sampler. There are also tracks by Kathleen Edwards, Lambchop and a Woody Guthrie tribute featuring Will Johnson (from one of our favorite bands Centro-matic) and Jay Farrar. http://www.americansongwriter.com/2012/02/the-muse-february-sampler-free-download/ Second, there was a little blurb about us on CMT.com. http://www.cmt.com/news/cmt-offstage/1678131/offstage-finding-new-texas-music-from-a-little-green-gecko.jhtml Third and final – that live video of Central Daylight Time is out now on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5cS7RthiMI Cheers. More from the Land of Lizards – CDT Video Coming
We spent nearly all day on Wednesday at In Your Ear recording studio in Richmond, Virginia filming a video for Central Daylight Time that should be out online next week. This was yet another brain child of Geico and its ad agency, The Martin Agency. It’s safe to say that we never thought commercialism would be so much fun. We had a blast ripping through the song about 20 times while a professional dancer cut up the floor all around us doing her best gecko moves. Not to mention the fact that the gecko himself was present in the control room presiding over the whole deal (see below). You might not think he is real but after seeing him, you might reconsider. He’s real alright and he travels in his own custom wooden box and comes with an instructional video on how to handle him safely (not kidding). We’ll keep you posted on the release of this video. Meanwhile, you can still download the song for free here… http://www.myxer.com/get/item/15395314 Thanks to everyone for all your emails and comments.
