The time has come. Although the official “release” for our album “I Never Thought It Would Go This Far” is not until February 17th, we are jumping the gun a little and giving you a few ways to get it right now. You can order physical copies on compact disc right here in the GOODS section of our website. You can also order a digital copy from our friends at County Wide Records. The County Wide release contains a special bonus track – a remix version of ‘Tropical Depression’ – which, for now, will only be available on the County Wide digital release. Lastly, you can preorder the beautiful double vinyl edition on WarHen Records. Please note that the vinyl will not ship until late February or March but all vinyl purchasers will receive a complimentary digital download of the album on or before February 17.
We have a bunch of new merchandise in the GOODS section in addition to the INTIWGTF cd. Check it out for new t-shirts, hats and posters.
The first leg of the INTIWGTF tour is firm. We are really fired up to get out there and see all of you again. Check the SHOWS link, find the show(s) near you and get your advance tix soon. Shows in Roanoke, Virginia, Richmond, Virginia and Raleigh, North Carolina are just a few weeks away.
The long-promised video for ‘Whistlers & Sparklers’ will release this week. Stay tuned to facebook, twitter and instagram for the announcement.
Finally, it takes an incredible amount of work to bring an album into this world. We are thankful to all of you for your support, emails and patience during gestation. None of this could have happened without the help of Lower 40, County Wide, WarHen, Kerry Gibson, Rob Evans, Adam Stockton, Warren Parker, Brian Overby, Mark Goldstein, MB Celella, Trey Newman, Kim Fowler & Scott Hull.
See you out there. We love you.
We are ever so pleased to finally announce the release of our sixth album entitled "I Never Thought It Would Go This Far' on February 17, 2015 on Atlanta's Lower 40 Records in association with County Wide Records. A limited edition vinyl will also be released on WarHen Records.
All of the album was recorded over 8 days back in June, 2014 in Barboursville, Virginia with Rob Evans engineering and co-producing. Our friend Mark Goldstein came in and played a huge role in the recording playing a vast selection of pianos and vintage organs.
The track list is as follows: 1) Whistlers & Sparklers, 2) Bury My Gold, 3) Mustang Island, 4) Beehive, 5) Heaven's High, 6) Release the Reins, 7) Token, 8) Sugar Bowl, 9) Never Was the Bird, 10) Undertaker's Song, 11) Days Don't End, 12) Tropical Depression and 13) The Line's Been Drawn.
The process of getting this record down was amazing and we can't wait for everyone to hear it. Stay tuned for information on pre-release streams, a video release for Whistlers & Sparklers as well as tour info.

Hello all. A few brief news bits....
First, we've added 3 Texas shows on November 13, 14 & 15 in Austin, Houston and Dallas respectively. Details are finalizing right now. Please check the Shows link above and the venue websites for the definitive word. We hope to see you all out there in the crowd. Spread the word.
A few weeks back, we filmed a video for a song called "Whistlers & Sparklers" that will be on our forthcoming new album. A massive thanks to Adam Stockton, Lucas & Alexandra Krost, Dogtown Lights, The Branching and everyone who gave their Friday night to come stand in the rain and watch us play the same song over and over again. Check out our facebook and Instragram for some images from the night.
Speaking of new albums, we are finalizing details on the release now. It is tentatively scheduled for February 17, 2015. These things change so stay tuned for announcements as we get closer.
Lastly, we're so thankful to all of you for your recent emails and kind words. Many, many, many people are just hearing of us for the first time thanks to the Geico ad with our song Central Daylight Time being in heavy rotation during the World Series, NFL and pretty much anywhere you look on TV. For all you new fans, we are still giving away a free 15 song sampler over on Bandcamp. Click the link to go get it and get yourself caught up on the last 15 years. It's totally free. All we ask is that you tell your friends.
We added a new t-shirt and a long lost Apprentice to Ghosts poster in the Goods section. Buy away.
We love you. Talk soon.

Here we go. wrinkleneckmules.com version 5. Or is it 6? We can't remember. No matter, we're glad to launch this new website and finally be free of our last robot and SPAM infested site. It's been a drain on us for a while now.
Take a look around and give some of the new features a work out. You can stream all of our records right here on the site. We also posted the lyrics to every released song as well as a photographic history of the band dating back to our inception before the turn of the century. We'll evolve this over time. The Goods page will be a work in progress for a little bit. New merchandise is on its way. We'll announce a few shows soon as well.
Enjoy.

Greetings. We’re pumping along here. A couple of notable news pieces…. First, we’re glad to see that the Geico Texas ad featuring our song ‘Central Daylight Time’ is back in rotation. Thanks to everyone at the Martin Agency in Richmond, VA for making this reprise a reality. In celebration and to welcome some new folks to the WNM, we’re giving away a FREE 15 song digital sampler of our music that we’re calling “A Free History Of…”. All one needs to do to download this is go to Bandcamp (click on the picture below) and start clicking away. Thanks to those on facebook who helped us with the song list. It was tough narrowing the field but we managed to come up with a pretty good starter kit. The artwork for the sampler is below and it links you right where you need to go. We’re not going to give this thing away forever so please send this to all your friends who don’t know the WNM and encourage them to get on board.
We are only a few short weeks away from our first recording sessions for our next album. We are fired up to go back to Haunted Hollow Studio in Virginia and to work with Rob Evans. We recorded Pull the Brake at Haunted Hollow way back in 2005 and Rob did much of the engineering on that record. We’ll keep you posted and make sure to put some photos and hopefully some video of the proceedings up on Facebook and Twitter.
Lastly, thanks to everyone who came out to see us play in Virginia and North Carolina recently. Good times. There’s some good video of some of the Charlottesville show up on YouTube. Thanks to Brian Walden for shooting and posting.
See you all soon.
